Hey, there!
I may be new to Substack, but I've been writing a better world since 2008.
My career as an environmentalist led to appearances from the "TODAY" show to TEDx and informs my fiction and personal essays. As you can read on About, I hold an MFA in fiction from Pacific University and an MA in journalism from USC. I lecture on climate fiction at the UCSB’s Croft Center for Undergraduate Environmental Leadership, mentor young writers through 826LA, and am an active member of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association.
In 2008, I co-founded the website EcoStiletto and the Mommy Greenest blog. I appeared as a sustainability expert in USA Today and on "CNN Headline News," among many others, and swapped sustainability tips with notables from Jane Goodall to His Majesty King Charles lll.
Today, I write fiction and nonfiction, while day jobbing social and environmental impact strategies for systems change through communications and marketing, stakeholder engagement, and strategic leadership.
Through my newsletter, I deliver positive climate (and writing) news to inboxes on a monthly(ish) basis. Sign up for my free newsletter and get full access to the publication archives. I also post on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Bluesky, and LinkedIn. Let’s connect!
